Yes, well...FRIGID is back. Even if Joffrey Dumas is the one man behind the music project, the music project is still clearly FRIGID.
This fall, a strong wave of inspiration emerged and many songs have finally transformed and defined the sound of the upcoming album. Now that the record is really taking shape, it clearly makes no sense to change the name of the "project". It's FRIGID all the way, although brand new & revamped. Expect something textured & haunting; from mellow indie-blues ballads to sexy rocking electro-driven songs. So FRIGID it is and FRIGID it will be.
Yesterday, Joffrey previewed a few tracks from the upcoming album during a fashion show at "Musée des Beaux Arts de Montréal"; the songs "Septembre", "Sex Kills", "Granted", "Stand up!" & "Eye-Catcher" got re-worked for the occasion. 30 minutes of original music...the album is really on its way. And it is really starting to sound gooooooood.
I'm very excited to start this new year with the release of a first video taken from my "Dust & Debris EP", out last October. Talented video artist Karl Zyprexx has created a poetic short film filled with darkness, mystery and beauty...I'm in love with this great piece of work.

"Self" and "ego" are two different things. Very different.
And although it ain't always easy to go back to the basics of who I am...the process surely feels right. Sooooo right! :-) I'm worth taking the time. And so are you.
